AI Workshop for Private Equity and Portfolio Companies, One Day Onsite
A central training program rarely reaches every portfolio company equally well, since processes, systems and teams differ from holding to holding. An AI workshop instead runs directly inside the portfolio company, one day onsite with its own data and team, and delivers a result that shows up in the value creation plan. Need more across several holdings afterward, the multi-day Corporathon hackathon follows, repeatable per portfolio company.
- Real prototypes instead of slides
- Facilitated by AI practitioners
- Ready to run within a week
- Documented handoff included

After day one, people who had never opened a terminal were building in Claude Code.

The biggest effect wasn’t the tooling, it was the mindset shift: “I can build this myself.”

Where private equity firms get stuck with AI

What portfolio teams build
Challenges tied directly to the value creation plan. A reporting autopilot with Gamma that prepares metrics automatically for the next board deck. A due diligence research assistant with NotebookLM for market and competitor analysis on add-on acquisitions. A cross-portfolio knowledge transfer bot with n8n that makes successful automations from one portfolio company accessible to others, plus function-specific prototypes in sales, finance or operations depending on the holding.

One week to your Corporathon
1. Intro call, clarify portfolio company, goal and value creation plan. 2. Tools and challenges call, pick the automation with the biggest lever for this company. 3. Finalize data and access at the specific portfolio company. 4. Prepare the environment. 5. Hackathon days on site, tool workshop, sprint, result pitches.

Classic training vs. Corporathon
A central program shows portfolio teams AI in a standard deck. The AI workshop delivers a company-specific prototype in one day that goes straight into the next quarterly report. The hackathon afterward carries the format across more holdings.
Output, not slides

Can we use this across several portfolio companies at once? Yes. The format repeats cleanly, ideal as a Recurring Hackathon Series on a quarterly cadence across multiple holdings. Each company gets its own challenges, the base format stays the same. Does this count toward our value creation plan? The hackathon delivers tangible prototypes and an impact report per engagement, usable as AI adoption …
We work with the stack that fits you — LLM APIs, automation and data platforms, and your existing systems.
Teams of four to six work best. Overall we run everything from a single team up to several dozen participants.
All three work. On site creates the strongest momentum, remote is leaner logistically, hybrid is the usual compromise for distributed sites.
You get a documented handoff: prototypes, setup, open items and a recommendation on which results deserve to go to production.
We define target metrics before the sprint — hours saved, cycle time, quality or revenue contribution — and review them in the closing session.
